Those who have been before know that a dunk in the river is a crucial part of the Pearl experience. Plus, July is always hot - so come prepared!
Instrument
The piano in the house always invites a jam sesh! If you’d like to join in, please bring your instrument of choice - we’ll keep them safe inside when not in use.
your own booze
We will have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available, but we ask that if you plan to drink heavily or have specific preferences, please come prepared with something extra for yourself and a safe plan for the end of the night.

A BIT ABOUT PEARL

PEARL, ON POT 2mO
"Pearl" is Sarah's childhood family camp/cottage, nestled in the small township of Pearl, ON. The camp is located about 45 minutes east of Thunder Bay, just off of the 11/17.
Growing up, Sarah spent a large portion of her time here: she roamed the bush behind the house with her sister and cousins, harvested raspberries and planted potatoes with her parents, raced around the yard with Scout, and read books alone in makeshift shacks in the yard. Riley's first summer visit to Thunder Bay included a short drive from the cottage to an amethyst mine, where he collected pieces for his mum. We have built many more memories here since, both together and separately, from clearing fallen trees to restore the river to impromptu photoshoots in the decrepit shed of the house's original caretaker.
The house has fallen into disarray in the last decade, with the government's wavering plans to expand the highway threatening the bond we carry with this piece of land. The highway expansion is proceeding, but gratefully, the nearby strip is being rebuilt south of the property.
With this in mind, we are excited to build many more memories here, nurtured by the magic of Pearl – and true to form, that begins with a party!
